Track season is upon us and I also feel the need to throw it back to my roots. Although anything on Broadway will be super crowded due to the tourism season, this can definitely apply to any time of the year. All upstate New York natives knows that summers are for the track and Lake George which is how I've culminated some of my favorite restaurants to adventure to.
Boca Bistro

This place is at the top of my list because it is without a doubt my favorite restaurant on Broadway. I've had birthdays and celebrations at Boca Bistro because the food is so delicious and the restaurant is great. Boca a Spanish style tapas restaurant so of course tapas are a must. Pictured above is the 'mixto chef's selection of meats and cheeses' which is a selection of meats and cheeses with olives, almonds, and quince paste. Another pictured tapas are the shishito peppers which are a sweet, Eastern Asian variety of pepper which are slightly charred and are quite tasty. The other pictured tapas plate is the garlic shrimp which is a perfect dish to pair with the bread because it'll soak up the deliciousness of the garlic butter underneath the shrimp. Not in the mood to share small plates? Try a big one. Alongside the tapas plates is paella. Paella is a rice dish that incorporates tasty ingredients and Boca offers three different options. There is the vegetarian paella, seafood, chicken and chorizo paella, and the seafood paella, all which are tasty and sharable options.

Cantina
In all honesty, I've only been here twice and it was with my friends several years ago but I just remember the food being amazing. Right down the street from Boca Bistro, Cantina is a locally owned Mexican restaurant that is full of vibrancy. If you don't want to get an appetizer that is fine, delicious chips and salsa are included with your meal. When I went with my friends, I ordered the habanero shrimp burrito, which comes with spicy habanero shrimp, asparagus, red rice, charro bean, lettuce, and fresh crema. If that doesn't win you over or suit your palate, there is a wide variety of excellent salads and soups, quesadillas, fajitas, chimichangas, tostadas, and more. Or enjoy a half priced alcoholic beverage at happy hour from 3-6, Monday through Friday.

Three Vines Bistro

Off the beaten Broadway path, Three Vines Bistro is the perfect place to mangia. Start off with one of their delicious appetizers, a crowd favorite are the "meetballs" which come in a variety of styles from traditional to chicken fra diavolo. Chose one meatball option or up to five. Next my personal favorite is the linguine with clams (pictured above) which consists of little neck clams, cherry stone clams, garlic, herbs, and olive oil all over linguine. Pasta isn't the the only option on this menu, there is a variety of salads, pizzas, and wood fired entrees. I love seafood and pasta and put together this dish definitely did not disappoint.
